Joan Gaffney presented this trophy in honour of her uncle, John Wallace Skinner. Mr. Skinner, who had been raised on a farm in the Mitchell area, was a concert pianist in the 1920's. He was a member of the local Happy Gang Group during the period after World War I. He died of pneumonia at the age of 39.
