2025 Syllabus - Community Bands

This section is for non-professional groups.

**See Chamber/Ensembles and String categories for more classes**

Subject to final confirmation, the venue for bands will be St Michael's Catholic High School, 240 Oakdale Ave in Stratford. They are able to provide the following details:

PARKING
You may park in the back parking lot or the front parking lot if arriving in the evening or if you are arriving prior to 9AM on Thursday. Otherwise, the parking will be in the overflow parking lot (tennis courts).

DROP OFF / BUSES
Snytime between 9AM and 2:30PM it would be best to have your buses drop you off at the front of the school - easier for drivers to maneuver around. Otherwise I would avoid the front entrance from 8:20AM to 9AM and 2:30PM to 3:30PM - will be congested with "regular" school buses for the start/end of the school day.

ENTERING THE SCHOOL / STORAGE
Dtorage space will be in the small gymnasium (as opposed to random available classrooms). It is very close to the performance area. Please have students set up their instruments but this is not a warm-up room.

ARRIVING FOR YOUR CLASS
There will be seating available for all groups in each given class so that groups can wait with their instruments in the audience. We ask that groups remain in the audience for the entirety of their class. Once each class has ended, groups can migrate back to the storage room to put instruments back in cases.

SETTING UP FOR YOUR SPECIFIC GROUP
There are 53 chairs available. Please let the KFPA office know how many rows and seats are needed for your group. Some students will need to share stands. If you have a group larger than this please let us know ASAP.

PERCUSSION:
