Classical Voice - Beginner and Primary Levels
PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS
Competitors must perform two (2) contrasting classical selections (traditional folk songs, art songs, any choice of language, no opera, no operetta or oratorio).
The maximum performance time is:
Beginner Level (Ages 6-8): Eight (8) minutes
Primary Level (Ages 9-10): Eight (8) minutes
There is no minimum performance time. Accurate performance times must be included on the entry form. Do not guess timings.
Reasons for Disqualification
• Not providing all information required (your YouTube video link, the PDF of your music and payment) by your Festival's Provincial deadline
• "To Be Decided/TBD" in any field will not be accepted
• Black Screen
• No PDFs of music submitted
• Not showing original music, books, digital music with receipt on video
• Teacher's name on music or mentioned verbally in introduction
• Teacher's name or studio listed on YouTube channel
Classical Voice - Elementary, Junior, Intermediate and Senior Levels
PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS
Competitors must perform contrasting classical selections. Please see below for specific requirements for each class level as to number of selections, language requirements and time limits.
Accurate performance times must be included on the entry form Do not guess timings. There is no minimum performance time.
The current Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) or Conservatory Canada (CC) syllabus may be used as a guideline or reference in choosing repertoire, but the competitor is not limited to these lists, and repertoire may be at diferent grade levels.
Vocalises and stand-alone recitatives are not allowed. However, recitatives are permitted in arias. Opera, oratorio and operetta selections are permitted in Senior and Advanced levels only.
Elementary Level:
Competitors must perform two (2) contrasting classical selections in any language. Opera, operetta and oratorio selections are not permitted.
The maximum performance time is: Ten (10) minutes.
Junior Level:
Competitors must perform two (2) contrasting classical selections in any language. Opera, operetta and oratorio selections are not permitted.
The maximum performance time is: Ten (10) minutes.
Intermediate Level:
Competitors must perform two (2) contrasting classical selections in any language. Opera, operetta and oratorio selections are not permitted.
The maximum performance time is: Ten (10) minutes.
Senior Level:
Competitors must perform two (2) contrasting classical selections in any language. One selection may be opera, operetta or oratorio.
The maximum performance time is: Fifteen (15) minutes.

Classical Voice - Advanced Level
PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS
Advanced Level (Ages 19-28): Competitors must perform three (3) contrasting classical selections in a minimum of two (2) languages. One selection MUST be opera, operetta or oratorio.
The maximum performance time is: Twenty (20) minutes
Accurate performance times must be included on the entry form. Please do not guess timings. There is no minimum performance time.
If you do not provide all information required (i.e. Song Title, Composer, payment etc.) by your Local Festival's Provincial deadline, it will result in disqualification. "To Be Decided/TBD" in any field will not be accepted and will result in disqualification.

Classical Voice - Adults - Solo
Adult Classes are open to any amateur competitor 29 years of age and over.
PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS
Please note there is only one level of competition for Adults.
Competitors must perform two (2) contrasting classical selections in any language.
The maximum performance time is: fifteen (15) minutes.
Accurate performance times must be included on the entry form Do not guess timings. There is no minimum performance time.
If you do not provide all information required (the names and composers of your pieces and payment) by your Festival's Provincial deadline, it will result in disqualification. "To Be Decided" in any field will not be accepted and will result in disqualification.

Classical Voice - Duets and Trios
PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS
Competitors are required to sing one selection only.
Competitors must enter the class corresponding to the age of the oldest member of the duet/trio.
The maximum performance time for each level are listed below:
Beginner Levels (Ages 6-8): Five (5) minutes
Primary Levels (Ages 9-10): Five (5) minutes
Elementary Levels (Ages 11-12): Five (5) minutes
Junior Levels (Ages 13-14): Eight (8) minutes
Intermediate Levels (Ages 15-16): Ten (10) minutes
Senior Levels (Ages 17-18): Ten (10) minutes
Advanced Levels Ages 19-28):Ten (10) minutes
Amateur Adults (Ages 29 and Above): Eight (8) minutes
Adult & Child: Ten (10) minutes
