Anne Scott was a frequent competitor at the Stratford Music Festival, traveling from Toronto to participate. She competed in the 1949 Festival in the Violin/Piano Sonata Class. This trophy was first presented in 1951 as one of the special 25th Anniversary Prizes. The Silver Anniversary of the Music Festival was the final Festival operated by the Stratford Music Teachers' Association. In 1952, it became the Kiwanis Music Festival.

This Trophy was originally given for Sonata - 16 years and under. It has been reassigned to the Intermediate Level Classes.
