Anne Scott was a frequent competitor in the Stratford Music Festival. She was from the Toronto area. She first competed in the 1940 Festival in the Violin/Piano Sonata class.
This trophy was first presented in 1951 as one of the special 25th Anniversary prizes.
The Silver Anniversary of the Stratford Music Festival was the final Festival operated by the Stratford Music Teachers' Association. In 1952 it became the Kiwanis Music Festival.
This trophy was originally presented for a Haydn or Mozart sonata, but has been reassigned to the Intermediate Piano Level.
