H. S. Robertson joined the executive of the Perth County Music Festival in 1929 on the Publicity Committee. He served from 1932 to 1937 on a variety of committees including Finance and Rules and Revisions. From 1940 until 1947 he was the Honorary Auditor of the Stratford Music Festival.
In 1948, Mr. Robertson donated a trophy to be presented to the top male choir with unchanged voices. That trophy has since been replaced with a plaque.
