Composition Workshop with Chris Norton

This workshop is free to all who enter the 2025 Kiwanis Festival of the Performing Arts [KFPA] with a modest fee to everyone else. Teachers and students are encouraged to bring their own works in any music genre, either finished or incomplete, as Christopher will demonstrate how material can be expanded, repeated, and developed in order to create compositions.

Topics will include where to start, what books make good resources, tips on notation, how to use MuseScore or other mediums, strategies to introduce improvising, and tips for improvisation. Suitable for all ages -- content will be tailored to suit the age of the participants!
