Georgina completed a Bachelor of Arts; Honours History and Music Degree from Wilfrid Laurier University, and also an Artistic Diploma in Performance, Masters of Music, and Bachelor of Education Degree from Western University. She holds a Music Specialist Certificate from Althouse College. Ms. Galba is also a Kodaly Music Specialist and clinician, and was a member of the Kodaly Society of Ontario for a decade. In addition, Georgina trained in Orff techniques and has a unique interest in the study and dissemination of folk dance and culture.
Georgina currently performs with the Amabile Choirs of London Canada, and was one of the original members of Prima, the women's ensemble of the organization. She has toured and performed at Notre Dame in Paris, the Vatican and Pantheon in Rome, Roy Thomson Hall with conductor Steven Reineke, and Carnegie Hall in New York. She has sung in Beethoven's 9th, the Requiems of Mozart, Brahms and Berlioz, Handel's Messiah, Holst's The Planets and has worked with Frank Mills, and the late Christopher Plummer in Greig's Peer Gynt.
She has performed as a soloist in Pucinni's Suor Angelica and in the production of Strauss's Die Fledermaus. She also sang in the premiere performance of The Sleepers by Scott Good with London Symphonia. In addition, she plays English Handbells with the Jubilate Bells at the Metropolitan Church in London.
Ms. Galba has been an elementary school educator in the Independent School system for 24 years. She conducts a Chime Choir, Chamber Choir and Primary School Choir at Matthews Hall. She has a thriving private studio of theory, piano and voice students in London, Ontario.
