2027 Syllabus (subject to final changes coming from OMFA)

** NEW in 2027 **

Changes have been made to align as much as possible with the OMFA Provincial syllabus:

• recital classes have been eliminated
• age group classes now begin with 8 & Under (previously our youngest age group was 10 & Under)
• OMFA is now using "Commercial" for any non-classical genre so our categories that were previously "Other" are now "Commercial"

If you would like to be considered for 2027 OMFA Provincials (June 14-19 in Kitchener-Waterloo):

• determine how many pieces are required for your category at www.omfa.ca 
• enter [at least] that many classes in this festival by matching your repertoire to the options offered

We've added notes about Provincial requirements in each category of our syllabus to help guide you.  You must receive a minimum mark of 85 in one of the classes you enter to be eligible for Provincials, and that piece must be played at Provincials.  You may change your second selection as long as it meets Provincial requirements for repertoire.
